I wanted build a catapult from chopsticks but there were none in the drawer.  There was a bendy kitchen spoon !

The ball would fall off the spoon.  Taping on a lid from a pop bottle fixed that.

First the catapult launched almost straight up!

My dad and I tilted the block up using weights.  Then the ball shot more forward.

It can go really far if you press hard.  Too far to film in the video.  It can even hit the ceiling.

There were many test shots.  

The harder you press the catapult down, the farther the ball will go. 

Also adjusting the catapult higher made the ball go farther (but not as high).
